The update is very good, except for a few things. I haven’t looked in the whole VO utility but the annoying pitch changes for data detectors in Mail and search boxes are still present with the Nuance voices. On the other hand, I’m glad that Vocalizer Expressive is on this thing now, although I found out that you had to delete the old Nuance Vocalizer voices before you could use the Expressive voices. If there is a setting to turn off those pitch changes or to disable data detectors in Mail, I’d really like to hear it. The other thing is that they have that auto ducking or whatever it’s called but that interferes with Skype when I’m in a call. I don’t want to disable it altogether since that’s pretty cool. I also have a problem with Windows using VMWare Fusion but I’ll save that for the appropriate thread.
