Thanks. I figured it was something like that, but wasn't sure. Mostly I wondered about apps, because I really hate having to reset all my preferences and settings. Still, if something goes crazy, it will be my only option I guess. Anyway, I'll try a regular install first since I did that with 10.8 and had no problems.
