There is a major break in the accessibility of pairing blue tooth keyboards and
voice over with 10.9. When the “pair” button is pressed, and the pairing
dialog pops up and asks for the special password to be entered on the keyboard,
Voice Over does not read out the actual password asked for by the dialog.
Instead, Voice Over seems to display the numbers
12345678
no matter what the actual password is. The screen does show the asked for
password, but, Voice Over always reads out
12345678
and thus the pairing can never be completed. I know the screen shows the
correct password because I had to get a sighted neighbor to read it out to me.
This is not in accord with Apple’s usually high standard of accessibility.
PLEASE, correct this as soon as possible!

Sent from my Mac, the only computer with full accessibility for the blind
built-in!

sincerely,
Ray, from Houma Louisiana
