Since they are brf files, if you want to read them in your Mac, first load into 
TextEdit. You have to have a braille display. Then, and you may want to make a 
copy before you do this, select all the text and do a transformation by going 
to EDIT, and going down arrow until you find TRANSFORMATION. Choose to make all 
the text to be lower case. That will take out all the dots 7 and 8. Then if you 
have a braille display, you should be able to read the file in TextEdit. 

I forgot to warn you, however, that this file is written in American grade 2 
braille. I don't know if that's a problem for you or not.
