The tip displaying at the moment says pull down on the DayTicker until it switches to the calendar. So far as I can work out, the DayTicker is a horizontal row of dates across the top of the screen, just below the settings button, month/year and the add event button. I tried double tapping on this and swiping my finger down, but I can't seem to get it to do anything. Thanks for the tip though. If I can't get it to work I'll try getting a sighted person to get rid of the tips for me then it sounds like I'll be in business.
