I have an even better suggestion.  Why not be able to select files directly in 
finder  and, provided your Mac sees your IDevice is connected, an extra item 
appears in the short cut menu that says “copy directly to IDevice or something 
like that.  Thing about that is, you’d need to make real sure your meta data 
taggint was correct though.
