Thunderbird, like Firefox, is not accessible due to an ago old spat
between Mozilla and Apple over accessibility APIs, which you can look up
in the archives of this mailing list. Just for the fun of it I tried
Thunderbird with voiceover just in case something has changed and all I
could access were the usual window chrome buttons like full screen and
close. Nothing else was accessible.
