To favorite (or bookmark) a page, just open it and press cmd-d.

To adjust auto-correct and spellcheck (same thing in this case), go to System 
Preference, Keyboard, Text. The checkbox to use spellcheck automatically is 
there, but you can usually change this on a per-application basis if you want 
to.
