Alia is quite correct.  IF I’ve got some audio that happens to be flac, (a 
format ITunes happens not to support) no problem.  I just use amadeus pro to 
change it to a .wav file then cause it to be added to ITunes library and have 
ITunes make a .4ma file out of it.
