Okay.

1.  Open ITunes.

2.  Focus on your Music collection and, select the songs or albums radio 
buttons just to the right.

3.  Now, navigate to the table that shows itself according to the radio button 
you’ve selected.  

4.  Now, press cmd+A to select all.  Now, press the delete key.

5.  Answer yes at the confirmatory dialog for deleting.  You should then be 
presented with another dialog which asks whether you want to send the files to 
the trash or keep them.  Your choice here.
