Hello Janet,

When you have a DMG, it’s a disk image and you need to open it. Sometimes, this
gives you a file browser containing a .pkg file which is an installer package.
You open this with Cmd-o and follow the instructions, but mostly, you go to the
last visible item and click Continue over and over again.

In the case of FineReader Pro, opening the disk image gives you a file browser
containing the app and an alias to the Applications folder. Just copy the app
with Cmd-c, then open the Applications folder with Cmd-Shift-a and paste in the
app with Cmd-v.

Cheers,

Anne
