I’ve spent all afternoon on this puzzle with no success.
I purchased switch which I’m using to convert a variety of file types.
I have some lossless wMA files I’d like to convert to AAC or MP3 or anything
the Mac likes.
I tried to convert them using Switch and it said I needed Flip for Mac and
offered to send me to the correct place on the windows site to get the player I
needed. I downloaded and installed two programs that were part of the install
stuff it gave me in the downloads.
Switch now doesn’t give me that error but it doesn’t convert the files either.
I tried opening the files directly in the Flip Player which thinks they're
movie files. I tried opening them in QuickTime which calls the Flip Player and
yep, opens them as movie files.
Now obviously I can give up and convert them in Windows using Goldwave and I
may have to since this is a bit urgent, but in general I try not to escape into
windows for things I want to do the Mac.
so what am I missing her or is this one of the cases where i should keep
windows handy for emergencies?
Thanks in advance for any help at all on this one.
