Well, it might be that you might not be able to sign up for prime on the app. Once you have bought Prime or gotten signed up for the free trial for it, I would think prime would then be one of your options. As I recall the site that comes up with safari on the iPhone isn't the full site or at least I know there were some things I couldn't get to on it.
