Glad I could help. In regards to your issue, it might be because it should have been able to have been formatted to Mac Extended Journelled. But it's possible that why it never formatted to that originally was because you may need to go to the erase tab, erase the drive, then re-partition the drive with the partition tab. Maybe what I said above might be what your issue is. Perhaps try that and see where you get.
