The Mini can definitely handle multiple bluetooth devices with no problem. Wired speakers are everywhere, though - go to Best Buy or a similar store, or hop on amazon and search for stereo computer speakers. My sister recently got a set of speakers for $40 that sound great and have a very nice sub.
Open System Preferences and click Sound (if using VO, interact with the scroll area, type sound until VO says "sound", and vow-space). Select the output tab, and choose the option you want from the table. You can also lower the volume in this window, and choose to have a volume control shown on the status menu bar (vo-m-m). If you only want VO to go to a different sound device, open Voiceover utility with vo-f8, chosse sound from the categories table, and choose the sound device you want from the popup menu.
