Thanks for your input. All of the phone numbers in my contacts are correctly 
identified.  In every single situation where a contact has more than one phone 
number listed, this problem occurs.  In instances where a contact only has one 
number listed, i.e. the cell phone number, things work fine.

This problem occurs no matter whether or not I use the bluetooth keyboard.

I have also checked to be sure that cell phone numbers are properly labelled as 
such.

This issue makes life very complicated, since many people with whom I need to 
stay in touch will only respond if they are sent text messages.
