Hi, Try Interacting with the text area in the pdf, pressing cmd-a to Select All, cmd-c to Copy then pasting it into the text document. If that doesn't work, then the pdf is likely protected. Also, sometimes in pdf documents, you need to use the VO-return combination to start selecting the area and then VO-return at the end of your desired selection.
