Hi,

That usually happens if your iCloud service is set to use that Apple ID in any 
manner.  Try going into System Preferences, iCloud and see if that account is 
signed in.  If it is, then just press on the Sign Out button.  If that doesn't 
do anything or if that isn't the issue, check under the Internet pane of System 
Prefs and see if you can delete that old Apple ID account from there.
