Hi Robert, Glad to see you here. I made the switch from windows a few months ago and haven't regretted it. Are you aware of the interactive tutorial for vo? To start the tutorial press command vof8. It's divided into several sections with a section to practice what's been discssed for that particular tutorial section. Since you're in the tutorial, you don't have to worry about accidently performing some action.
