Hi John,
Its not my day. When I boot into recovery, the OS X Utility menu
comes up. I see no Terminzl option there. Am I in the right menu?

Yes, it's accessible. You have to boot into your Recovery HD by holding
down command-r during startup. Then, start VoiceOver after about 30 seconds
with command-F5.
From the Utility menu, you will find an option for, Terminal. VO-space on that
and type,
resetpassword
and hit enter.
This will put you into an interface that will allow you to reset your account
password. It's important to note that once you do this and restart the
computer, you will be asked if you want to sync your keychain password to your
account password. Be sure to do this.

Hi John,
I know I am going to have to do this before I can really move forward. Is
the reset process accessible with Voiceover? I found some info on how to do
this but not when using Voiceover.

No, but you won't be able to unlock preferences or install apps without
knowing the password for your account. You can reset it, but it's a pain in
the backside to do.

Yes, it's your system or account password. You should only be asked this
the first time.

I will remember that one once I get past an issue that stumps me.
I put Dropbox on the Mac. Now when I want to access it, I am asked for the
computer password. Is that the same as the login password? I never entered that
as far as I can recall. I am really lost and am gonna take a break from it. LOL

The easiest way to jump between the sidebar and the browser window in
Finder is to use control-option-j. It automatically interacts for you and
saves you steps.
