Hi, Go into iTunes Preferences, in the General pane and see what iTunes is set to do when you insert a CD. You can tell it to simply play the CD, Ask to Import or Import & Eject. Maybe something else as well, but I can't remember off the top of my head. You can also check in the Import Options button to set what format you want the music to be converted into. You can choose mp3, AAC or AIFF.
