Ok, try this. on your profile page, there is a button that says "other 
actions:. Press this and the "view as" will pop up. For whatever reason you 
don't have to choose anything else at this point; just press the menu item that 
says view as and it will go to the public page. I'm thinking there might be 
some sort of icon after the "view as' phrase that vO doesn't voice.
