Go into Voiceover settings, Rotor, and add punctuation. None, some,
or all are the choices.

Hi,
I am using an iPhone 4S and have been doing so for a long time, relatively
speaking. I have 64GB of Memory.
Whenever possible, I read books on the iPhone, using the Kindle app, iBooks,
Nook, Blio and Voice Dream.
Since installing iOS 7 and beyond, I have noticed that when using VoiceOVEr for
reading, I no longer hear a pause in speech after encountering a full-stop or,
as the Americans say, a period. While I still hear slight pauses after commas,
I don't hear them after periods. This makes reading long texts arduous and
far less enjoyable. I also notice similar behavior from the iPhone when
reading back texts I myself have generated.
I have looked at VoiceOver settings and have found no way to command VO to
re-introduce the pauses that used to follow after Periods.
Has anyone else encountered this problem, or is something perhaps wrong with my
iPhone? Would the problem be rectified if I set my unit back to its default
settings?
Your thoughts would be appreciated.
Kindest regards to all,
Mike
