Hi Janet,
Like you I've also found it tricky to get to the end of a sound and
edit at the end. But the steps I gave work for me. Perhaps I didn't write
them out clearly or we are not doing exactly the same thing.
To get to the end of a sound that has no markers I have the focus in the scrol
area and the file is not playing.
I press option right arro
I then press just left arrow with no modifier once
I then press space bar to start play and immediately press left arrow again to
move away from the end of the sound.
Another trick is to use option right arrow to go to the end of the sound.
use command shift M to open the marker dialogue
look at the position
then close that dialogue
Press command for the go to location dialogue then enter a number lower by a
minute.
Press OK and you will be at that spot in your sound.
