I think the problem I was having mixing AP and STA has to do with ticket
#318, which seems to have more to do with the timing between bringing up
devices. I've found that if I first create ath1 as a station, ifconfig it
up and let it join the network, then afterwards create ath0 as an ap and
bring it up everything seems just fine.
