Comment:
The thing is that you'll need to have wpa_supplicant compiled against the
exact version of MadWifi that you're going to use it with. Otherwise you
will experience problems like the one you've described.
Closing this ticket as invalid, since it's not a real bug neither in
MadWifi nor in wpa_supplicant.
