I agree with Mister_X. You need to make sure that your client has a valid
association with an AP before running DHCP. Otherwise the DHCP request
will fail of course, which is no bug in the driver at all.
Once your client is associated, iwconfig shows the MAC address of the AP
the card is associated to instead of {{{Access Point:
00:00:00:00:00:00}}}.
