 I upgraded to the latest svn. Unfortunately, the card isn't recognized any
 longer.

 There is no more wifi0.

Comment (by mrenzmann):

 Recent snapshots of madwifi-ng will "complain" if it detects an older
 installation. You will be asked what to do and should answer that the old
 stuff should be removed - unless you're '''absolutely''' sure what you do.
