I am having the same issue but I am using a DLink Dwl-G650 on a ECS G732
laptop running Suse 10.
I am running madwifi-ng trunk as of today.
When I disable WEP, dhcpcd and dhclient get IP, however with WEP enabled,
they both look but never find an IP.
I don't know howto set the router's channel to 1 as when set it to one
using the router configuration tools, wlanconfig ath0 list scan reports it
as being in channel 4.
Please resolve this
