Comment:

 We've done some more testing on 12 PCs with Atheros based 11g cards put to
 ad-hoc mode at the same time. We have seen weird cell rotation without the
 patch and proper cell merging after 30-60s (probably due to bad links
 between some of the PCs) with the patch applied.

 I've written a [http://www.secdev.org/projects/scapy/ Scapy] based [http
 ://www-ivs.cs.uni-magdeburg.de/EuK/mitarbeiter/glukas/ibss-merge.scapy
 script to display the IBSS and beacons of all stations in a cell] to
 better debug this issue. It is not perfect, but it might help you too :)
