Comment (by [EMAIL PROTECTED]):

I was not able to get the Onoe module to crash the system, however, the
card would enter a sort of dead state where it would not connect to other
cards. I've since upgraded to 2.6.16-rc5. I tried the r1457, but,
unfortunately, I wasn't able to capture the output when it was mostly
working. It worked for about a day and then iwconfig reported the rate to
be 0kb/s and the card remained sort of dead (however, it did not crash the
system). When I attempted to poke it, the system locked up with no output.

That being said, sometimes, the module will load, and then when I attempt
to bring the interface up, this will happen:

I want to continue testing, but when the system locks, it really chews up
my file system. It was hanging randomly on start up with problem that
needed fsck -f to detect created by this random hanging. Is there anything
I can do to continue testing without causing so much file system damage?
