1) Thanks for looking into this.
2) I added

iwconfig athN channel 1
}}}
in the obvious places in the crashme script.
Behavior is the same as before: setting up ath1 causes ath0 to vanish,
i.e. ifconfig reports "device not found".
This is observed with both r1482 and r1484.
Changing the channel didn't affect things.
I was refused permission to "attach" the new crashme script, but you
can download the latest & greatest version from:
