Comment:

 ifdown ath0
 wlanconfig ath0 destroy
wlanconfig ath0 create wlandev wifi0 wlanmode ap
 iwpriv ath0 mode 2
 iwconfig ath0 channel 1
 ifconfig ath0 inet 192.168.2.1 netmask 255.255.255.0 up

 /usr/sbin/dhcpd ath0

You have to wait for some time and try to connect some sta, for it to
shutdown the ath0 interface. Sta mode also causes the channel to wander.
And unfortunately it is working fine, from this morning. Nevertheless I
 will keep you informed.
But there is one hitch still . My AP is running in 11b mode, but station
running in 11g mode is connected to it while iwconfig of sta is showing it
 is in mode 11g.
This means that 11g device can connect to 11b but the mode of the
station should be changed to 11b mode accordingly. I know because of the
modulation scheme 1,2,5.5 and 11 will only be operated and in physical
sense it won't matter but it will be nice to know to which mode it is
 connected.

 regards Malik
