 The driver disconnects every few seconds resulting in dropped packets
 while it reassociates. The problem was my access point, a WRT-54G running
 DD-WRT, had a beacon interval of 500ms. Lowering it to 100ms solved the
 issue for me. I was not using wep or wpa at the time.

 I am using a 5004 MP Atheros 4G: 802.11a/b/g miniPCI Card with the latest
 svn release as of 4/6/06 4am EST.
