#532: if I do ifconfig ath0 down after doing an ifconfig ath0 up the ath0 locks

up unti svn version 1500 I could do ifconfig ath0 down after an ifconfig
ath0 up. With verion 1500
if I do this I can no longer communicate and the lites on my pccard
freeze. I have to unload all the modules and reload them.
I am running FC5 with kernel 2.6.16-1.2080_FC5.
