You need a modified ebuild to get madwifi-ng to build for sparc64.
Give http://dev.gentoo.org/~gustavoz/sparc/madwifi-
ng-0.1545.20060510.ebuild a spin, but note that madwifi-ng isn't currently
working. Work is being tracked in ticket #282.
