Comment:
I'm keeping this as major as, although some of the things are just not
consistent, some are actually wrong and are not returning errors correctly
when they should be, which could cause dead babies.
I've gone through all the code and changed all the inversions, many of
which are entirely pointless as the functions are only ever returning 0
anyway.
