New description:
HI!
I can't load a module ath_pci after install a net-wireless/madwifi-ng
{{{
insmod /lib/modules/2.6.16-gentoo-r9/net/ath_pci.ko
insmod: error inserting '/lib/modules/2.6.16-gentoo-r9/net/ath_pci.ko': -1
Invalid module format
}}}
Comment:
The problem most likely is that you did use a different GCC version for
compiling MadWifi than was used for compiling the kernel.
However, it's very unlikely that this is a driver bug. For this reason you
should redirect your request to the appropriate [wiki:Support support
channels]. In that request you then should be much more verbose in regards
of describing your environment - we all don't have a crystal ball to see
what steps you did take and which MadWifi version you use... you get the
idea.
If it turns out that your issue is caused by a real bug in the driver,
feel free to reopen this ticket.
