Comment (by anonymous):
I tested various configurations that one #575 gives crash at same place,
however for me it reports that crash happens somewhere in bridge function.
lets use this setup:
I suppose that WDS can be wrong word which I used here, I, am interested
in station mode briging, but ususaly WDS ir required for that.
setup is this
--eth0-ath(master)<---> ath(station)-eth0--
bots units are same with just one diffrence that ath0 interfaces are
confugured to be master and station.
master can work as bridge with no problems, howewer station does nothing.
this is embeded platform with very limited resourses.
there are no other problems besides that sation do not bridge packets
properly.
however after careful examination, some signs of bridging attemts are
visible, if I connect empty switch to the to the station tide, it blinks
when (probably muticast) packets are transmitted. Everything else works
like in standard wlan setup without bridging.
here are wlan setup commands
master
wlanconfig ath0 destroy
wlanconfig ath0 create wlandev wifi1 wlanmode ap
iwpriv ath1 wds 1
iwconfig ath0 essid "ap"
station
iwpriv ath1 wds 1
iwconfig ath0 essid "ap"
and later bridge and ip configuration, these are correct because master
works correctly.
also I tested repeater mode mode, but it does not work at all.
wlanconfig ath0 create wlandev wifi1 wlanmode wds
iwpriv ath0 wds_add AA:BB:CC:DD:EE:FF
iwpriv ath0 wds 1
same configuration on both units except mac is different
they do not talk to each other, signal strength does not show
but power level shows 21dbm
what other information I should provide?
probably I should try some wlan packet sniffer? which you could recoment
to see wlan packets? I want to see if wds header is correct.
