It says invalid because such questions should usually be carried to the
madwifi-users mailing list as has been stated in the first comment to
this ticket. Meanwhile there is another ticket dealing with the same
issue, asking people to contribute information. I missed the existence of
this ticket when the other one was created, so that topic is discussed in
#859.
