@barnys: I'm not familiar with RedHat-based distributions. However, there
is Gnome's [http://www.gnome.org/projects/NetworkManager/ NetworkManager],
which also has support for WLAN. Maybe that is what you're looking for -
on the other hand I have no clue if and how that is tied into RedHad-based
distros. You could ask on the madwifi-users mailing list, too.
