Since D. Lau pinged me on this, I can report that we've been running
madwifi-ng with BSTUCK_THRESH set to 9 for over six months now with no ill
effects and many fewer resets due to stuck beacon (about once a day, if
that, instead of every few seconds for brief periods of the day). At this
point I'm fairly convinced that most 'stuck beacon' events are just
environmental interference (as in the previous comment from Diamonte) and
3 is too low a threshold.
