New description:
Hello,
I have had a brand new acer aspire 5520G notebook which has atheros
ar5006eg wifi chip inside. Device's PCI ID is 168c:001c. I installed
pardus 2007.2 on my system. Pardus doesn't recognised wireless out of box.
So that I tried to install one of latest snapshoots. I've downloaded
madwifi-ng-r2794-20071029.zip fron this site. After compiling and
installing I still get the error message. I will put some screen outputs
from my system in case they will be helpful.

If you look carefully output of the dmesg command you will see the line
'Hardware revision not supported'. I am always getting this annoying error
message.
What can I do in order to make it run wireless? Please help :(
regards

Comment (by mrenzmann):
I guess this is another case of "AR5007 gets mis-recognized as AR5006 by
lspci due to wrong PCI ID". This would make it another duplicate of #1192.
