#1619: Get "Ethernet controller: Atheros Communications, Inc. AR5211 802.11ab NIC (rev 01)" working. ---------------------------------+------------------------------------------ Reporter: Ronan Gaeti | Type: enhancement Status: new | Priority: blocker Component: madwifi: driver | Version: v0.9.3.3 Keywords: AR5211 802.11ab NIC | Patch_attached: 0 ---------------------------------+------------------------------------------ Hi, I've been trying such a long time to use madwifi-ng drivers for the following card: Ethernet controller: Atheros Communications, Inc. AR5211 802.11ab NIC (rev 01). Yesterday I found a way to get it working. I'm using Debian Testing with kernel 2.6.22-2 and I've set some parameters for module loading. On /etc/modprobe.d/local I had to put: "options ath_pci autocreate=sta rfkill=0". Otherwise I was able to see my access point but I could not associate to it, and if I was able to associate (using autocreate=sta) I was not able to properly connect to it (no dhcp answer). I guess it would help anyother person who is trying to use ng drivers. Best regards.
