[2852] was just reverting a patch that caused the problem, so that a
better patch could be committed. Re-applying a patch that is known to
cause problems is just uncooperative in my opinion. There may be many
wrong or stupid things in the code, but if you don't have a correct fix
for them, committing an incorrect one is not a solution, especially after
being told of the problems. It wastes time of other developers.
