hi sorry for asking in this thread i was a bit desperate and posted
anywhere i could see ar5006eg lol... but i have my card working now ... i
think i made some progress using ndiswrapper .... then blacklisting the
ath restricted driver in ubuntu for my atheros hardware then making sure
ndiswrapper and the windows driver i downloaded is used at startup... ...
im connected via wifi now ... i must be the ethernet cable is on the floor
unplugged so i guess it worked... the only thing is the default network
manager behaves a bit different ( i have to specify the network essid to
connect to it) rather than have a roaming connection.... but it works....
i have to credit a guy named Chalewa though from the ubuntu forums... if
anyone needs info on this possible solution email me at wudchuk7 at yahoo
dot com il be happy to help its what makes the world go round.... i have
the infamous atheros ar5006eg wifi card
