Comment (by [EMAIL PROTECTED]):

 Hi,

here are the latest information about this problem. I'm still using Wrap
boards and Ubiquiti SR2 Cards, but now I use Kernel 2.6.24 and SVN 3279
with latest stable hostapd and wpa_supplicant. The panics are gone now,
but I still have problems with association on SNR rates under the value of
20 with the actual wpa_supplicant. It shows me very strange output that my
ap has been blacklisted by the wpa_supplicant. But with 0.9.3.2 stable and
kernel 2.6.21-7 I get associated within seconds (anyway, I get a kernel
panic after a while with this SR2 cards and the stable driver).

Now the funny thing: If I put the meshnode to our roof to get direct
sight-line of 200m(now the SNR is by a value of 38), the wpa-supplicant
connects within 3 to 5 seconds, and all works fine since yesterday without
any panics. When I take it back inside (2 walls now are between me and the
AP, again I cannot associate and wpa_supplicant blacklists my AP again).
But my Macbook and my WinXP-supported iMac can get an connection inside
the office without any problems... and the meshnode can't (and these two
have internal antennas and my meshnodes are supported by 8dBi Omni
 Antennas).

Could it be, that wpa_supplicant has problems with long distances and weak
 SNR-rates?

 regards

 Jan Giera
