#1770: Kernel 2.6.22.16 and MadWifi v0.9.3.3 Conflict ----------------------------+----------------------------------------------- Reporter: anonymous | Type: defect Status: new | Priority: blocker Component: madwifi: other | Version: v0.9.3.3 Keywords: | Patch_attached: 0 ----------------------------+----------------------------------------------- The new Linux Kernel Update (4943-0), is a security patch issued to fix bugs on the older Kernel 2.6.22.14. The new Kernel 2.6.22.16 has a conflict with the latest MadWifi v0.9.3.3 drivers. When the security patch is installed, the wireless stops functioning with these MadWifi drivers. When I try and install the MadWifi drivers again, it says that there is a conflict with the newer kernel and the driver. After uninstalling the security patch and reverting back to the older Kernel the driver works properly. Please address this issue.
