While madwifi up to 2.6.22 works flawless on my ThinkPad X40 the ath5k
version in 2.6.24 and trunk doesn't associate with my non-encrypted AP. It
get's the right essid and choses the right channel but never associates
and scanning fails as well:
{{{
$ sudo iwpriv ath0 scan
ath0 no private ioctls.
}}}
The module loads fine:
{{{
Feb 3 12:50:06 freedom kernel: ACPI: PCI interrupt for device
0000:02:02.0 disabled
Feb 3 12:50:20 freedom kernel: ACPI: PCI Interrupt 0000:02:02.0[A] -> GSI
21 (level, low) -> IRQ 22
Feb 3 12:50:20 freedom kernel: ath5k_pci 0000:02:02.0: registered as

}}}
lspci -vvv output is:
{{{

I can reproduce the bug with the following (Debian) kernels:
{{{
linux-image-2.6.24-1-686
linux-image-2.6.24-trunk-686 (daily build from 1.2.2008)
}}}
