#1789: madwifi-ng fails to send 'connect' signal in time ----------------------------+----------------------------------------------- Reporter: anonymous | Type: defect Status: new | Priority: minor Component: madwifi: other | Version: trunk Keywords: | Patch_attached: 0 ----------------------------+----------------------------------------------- I am running 64-bit Fedora 8 on a 2007 Macbook (with an AR5418 chipset), and am using the madwifi-ng driver from SVN. When using wpa_supplicant, I am able to successfully connect to the network (encryption is WPA). However, when using NetworkManager the authentication phase times out, giving the following in /var/log/messages:
NetworkManager: <info> Activation (ath0/wireless): association took too long, asking for new key. Searching around on the web, I find that the cause for this is that the driver is not sending the 'connect' signal in time: http: //mail.gnome.org/archives/networkmanager- list/2007-December/msg00351.html This behavior has occurred across multiple SVN revisions. -- Ticket URL: <http://madwifi.org/ticket/1789> madwifi.org <http://madwifi.org/> Multiband Atheros Driver for Wireless Fidelity ------------------------------------------------------------------------- This SF.net email is sponsored by: Microsoft Defy all challenges.
